My Whole30 Experience - Day Five

DAY FIVE - WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5TH, 2016

Woke up this morning feeling bright, energetic, and happy. I can honestly say that this diet is making me feel happier by dampening the usual all consuming depression and sadness (a road refuse to allow myself to go down).

I returned the almond/coconut milk that Tyler bought for me. The 3rd ingredient was corn sugar. I picked up some coconut/cashew milk with no added sugar. Plus, I bought cashews so I can make the porridge I have been waiting to try.

I am drinking organic kombucha which technically has naturally occurring alcohol because it is fermented. However there are so many health benefits that I am allowing this small cheat.

  • 2 eggs hard boiled
  • banana
  • handful of almonds
  • apple
  • kombucha

According to the Whole30 Program's website, the Whole30 was "established by Dallas Hartwig and Melissa Hartwig (of Whole9) in April 2009. The Whole30 is their original nutritional program designed to change your life in 30 days. Think of it as a short-term nutritional reset, designed to help you put and end to unhealthy cravings and habits, restore a healthy metabolism, heal your digestive tract, and balance you immune system."
