ANNA TRON, LAc
Anna graduated summa cum laude from Emperor's College in Santa Monica, CA. There, she spent a lot of time studying different layers of channel theory, resulting in a rich understanding of what energetic patterning looks like through an acupuncture lens. Post graduation, the majority of her time has been spent buried in functional medicine, functional neurology, scalp acupuncture for neurological conditions, and craniosacral therapy. Today she has a very integrative practice, gently oscillating between the energetic component of both the meridian and craniosacral systems, and the strong structure of physiology. With one foot solidly in form, and the other dangling mystically in function- her approach is both powerful and gentle at the same time.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO TREAT AND WHY?
This is hard to answer, as I like treating everything and everyone. As mentioned above - there are areas that I have more knowledge, and more experience in. But it is my patients who shape my practice. What walks in my door is what I learn about. From sickness to wellness, treatment is such a unique walk to take with someone. The process is certainly not linear, it is full of surprises, gains, losses and then more gains. It is holy ground and I approach it with that reverence.
There is nothing more precious than the vulnerability of illness. And there is nothing more softening, expanding, and empowering, than that expedition from illness to wellness. It is the honor of my life to witness that journey. I am unwavering.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN ALASKA AND WHY DID YOU MOVE HERE?
I am moving to Alaska for the vastness! For seven years, I have been packed like a sardine in Los Angeles and Alaska’s boundless beauty has myself completely smitten. Also, I fell in love with the Alaska Center for Natural Medicine and thrilled to be joining the team!
WHERE have you lived before alaska?
I have spent a lot of time as a massage therapist, which is something I still incorporate into acupuncture sessions. Before that, I was a waitress - mostly at breakfast joints. I loved it! Everyone would tell me about their lives over their first cup of coffee. Before waiting tables, I was a lot porter for car dealerships, a barista, a painter, and repaired watches.
HOBBIES AND OTHER INTERESTS?
I love to paint! Capturing facial expressions and the movement of hands is my niche. Currently, I am learning photography. Photographers have a very neat and very intimate relationship with light and this piques my interest.
While in LA, riding my motorcycle always a joy. Leaning while going around a tight curve is an indescribable feeling. There is nothing like it. Unless you are a gymnast... Then there is a lot like it. In addition, I am super outdoorsy and love all things under the sun.
I have a lot of great families. My genetic family is all back in Ohio and they are some of my favorite people. I miss them all the time. How lucky am I? Furthermore, a handful of friends have become my family - they are everywhere. And I have a cat. His name is Oscar.
