Awards/Special Training: -Completed a year long internship in women's health under Dr. Kimberly Windstar in Portland, OR focusing on menopause, PMS, infertility and treatment of HPV -Trained in nasal specific technique a method of treating snoring, chronic sinus infections, and migraines. -UAF Tribeta Biological Honor Society. -Reiki practitioner- initiated into the second degree of the Usui System of Reiki Healing -NEI (Neurological/ Endocrine/ Immune) Certification, a method of assessing and treating neurological and endocrine imbalances
"I developed an interest in naturopathic medicine while working at ACNM as a receptionist. I grew up to love the medicine because it works! I enjoy being able to spend time with each patient and treat them as a whole person rather than as set of symptoms and diagnoses."
Specialties: As a family practitioner, I welcome women and men of all ages into my practice. I especially enjoy working with hormonal complaints, skin wellness, preventative medicine including Well Woman exams, neurological complaints including anxiety, depression, addiction, and ADHD.
Time spent in Alaska: I was born and raised in Fairbanks and I'm excited to be back. I always intended to return to Fairbanks to practice medicine. The lower 48 just can't compare.
Previous locations: I spent time in Portland, Oregon for medical school.
Previous careers: I was a barista and a receptionist here at ACNM!
Hobbies: -Cooking and enjoying good food. -Being active: Running, cross country skiing, biking, jazzercise. -Gardening -Trying new things! Our goal for the winter is to learn to brew our own beer!
Family: I live with my husband Patrick and our cat. We are happy to be back in Fairbanks and close to our families.
